Zacapa rum is considered one of the best in the world. It matures and blends in the ‘House Above the Clouds’, at 2300 meters above sea level, the fresh mountain air slows down aging, allowing Zacapi to rest and develop character. Zacapa uses a unique Soler System process based on a century-old way of maturing - the old Spanish way of maturing sherry, combining rum of different ages in a series of barrels in which American whiskeys, sweet sherry and fine Pedro Ximenez wines were previously stored.
