Budak family from the small village of Kranjci in central Istria near Sveti Petar u Šumi makes their products at their own farm, on the principle of keeping continuity from the land to the stable to the table. On 20 hectares of land they produce food for pigs which they have about 200 of. Their farm also has their own butchery and production of prosciutto, sausages and other meat products.
This fermented semi-dry sausage from pork meat from the Budak farm is produced according to a traditional istrian recipe and is ready for roasting, baking or grilling.
