Homemade barley porridge from the family family SILADI from Međimurje. Barley is one of the oldest cultivated cereals, rich in fiber, vitamins and minerals. Barley porridge is easy to digest, an excellent salty or sweet meal. Fresh or dried fruits, nuts and seeds can be added to barley porridge, seasoned with cinnamon or ginger and sweetened with honey. It goes well with yogurt, milk and cereal drinks. It can also be used to prepare risotto, salad, stews and cream soups.
