Sage is reputed to be a miraculous plant that cures many diseases, and in some cultures it is worshiped as a sacred plant. Sage has been proven to be a good fighter against bacteria, viruses and various fungi, or various inflammations. It is also known as salvia. Prepare sage tea by using half a small teaspoon and pouring 2 dcl of boiling water over it and leaving it in a covered pot for 5 minutes. It is not recommended to drink sage tea for more than 4 weeks in a row. If desired, you can add a little lemon and a spoonful of honey to the tea (recommendation: sage honey).
 
This tea is produced by the association "Istrian - Ecomuseum from Vodnjan", a non-profit organization whose goal is to promote and preserve traditional resources, local products, arts and crafts of this microregion. This sage grows in the garden called "Vodnjan in Space" which is designed so that it looks like a map of the city of Vodnjan from air, each path represents one street, and in each "city district" of this garden a different type of aromatic herb is cultivated. Cultivation of herbs is done in a natural and organic way, without pesticides. Students of the local school, which operates with an eco-certificate and in whose yard the garden is located, also take part in cultivating aromatic plants in this garden. From an early age, children learn to live sustainably and in harmony with nature.
